I was over weight, down and lacking self- confidence. I decided to take action when I realised how much my weight was effecting my happiness, that's when I knew I had to tackle my weight gain if I was going to be confident in my own body. That's when I Joined LA fitness Hove.
First I started by cutting back on alcohol, I lost a stone and wanted to keep up the weight loss so I started a healthy eating plan and kept a food diary given to me by one of the Fitness Instructors. I booked myself in for a programme with the Fitness Manager who showed me how to train correctly and at first I found it very hard but was determined to keep it up. I would have a call near enough every 6 weeks from the gym asking me if I need to review my programme and this was a massive help as it kept me from wandering off track.
I steadily continued to lose weight and get compliments from other members. Doing classes really worked for me as they are so motivating, Spin classes are great for burning calories, and Pump for toning up, I also enjoy Boxercise and Circuits.
My weight loss was visible after only 1 month or so, this is what kept me going. As I headed towards my weight loss goal I not only began to look better, but felt better too, this had both physical and mental effects as I felt so much happier.
I would advise others to take advice from the professionals, set your goal and keep a record of your achievement, I learned all of this from the team at LA fitness.
