A little over year ago I was over 16 stone, I was depressed, unconfident and unhappy with the way I looked and felt. I was sluggish and low on energy every day, and then I was approached by two members of the Fitness team. Will and Chris came up to me to help me with an exercise I was struggling with and to speak to me about the 'Body for Life' programme that they were starting in a couple of weeks.

I was invited to a presentation evening, where I was given a booklet and advice on a new type of training and diet than I was used to. At first I found it really hard, my strength and size weren’t where I wanted them to be and I felt as though it was a real challenge for me to stick to the programme, but with support from the Fitness Instructors and my wife I soon got stuck in and couldn’t get enough of it. I could see and feel drastic changes within two weeks which was soon documented in my first health check, I was ecstatic and wanted to keep the momentum going.

I am continuing a variation of the Body for Life programme to maintain my fitness, but am due to start a new programme based around rugby. After achieving such gains within the gym my results have spurred me on to bigger things and with more confidence I have joined my local rugby club.

Overall I have lost almost two stone and put on a lot of muscle, I would recommend the Body for Life programme for anyone looking to Kickstart their goals. The Fitness Instructors are all really supportive, providing extra classes for all participants and they are always available for appointments or on the spot advice.
