I felt unhealthy and depressed, almost as if I was just existing rather than living. My husband and I split up which gave me space to make more time for me. I started walking everyday and built up my stamina and pushed the distance I walked, I then joined LA fitness Maidstone . By the time I joined I had already seen an improvement and was very focused and committed to "getting myself back" so although it was hard work I felt good about doing it.
I joined in with all the aerobic classes and after a while decided to use the services of the Personal Trainer three times a week. This took me to the next level, improving my cardiovascular fitness as well as strength and muscle tone. Month on month I saw results and so did everyone else, staff and other members commented regularly on my progress.
I felt fabulous, I had a clear mind, my stress levels had dropped and I felt able to achieve anything I set my mind to. I am a year on from first joining LA fitness and have just undergone assessment by a professional boxing coach, over the next year I will be working towards gaining my pro-boxing card. I am living my dreams, life can be stressful but I find physical fitness relieves everyday stress and helps you to focus on the positive.
