Originally I felt lethargic, tired and unhealthy before I decided to join the gym and embark on a fitness programme. I decided to take part in a 5km run and at the same time wanted to improve my general health and fitness so I joined LA fitness New Barnet and began training for the 5km run, which I successfully completed. After this I decided to do more 5km runs and so carried on going to the gym, I found it physically hard at first but found the Kickstart appointments with the Fitness Instructors really helped.
I started to see results about one month after joining and I started feeling really healthy. I also trained with Siv, one of the Personal Trainers, and after two years have built my fitness and confidence.
I was very happy to achieve the goals I set for myself. I felt increased motivation to keep coming, my energy levels went up and I was so happy that I managed to complete my 5km run.
I would advise others that it is hard work to start off with but if you keep going you will see results. You will have your bad days but sticking with it and varying your training by changing classes and routines will really help you achieve what you set out to do.
