I have always enjoyed keeping fit and doing classes now and again, but I needed to be able to do a 5k run for a charity event.
At LA fitness Bury St Edmunds I had a programme designed to help me with running longer distances and improving my fitness using different types of equipment, as well as toning up. I had not used the gym very much beforehand but everyone was really encouraging and now I am using the gym as well as going to regular classes.
I did the run in 2008 for Cancer Research in 47 minutes and really wanted to improve that time, this year I did it in 27 minutes and was overwhelmed at the difference in time but felt very proud of my achievement, I may try for a 10k run next year!
I would advise anyone to try out all areas of the club as it is included in the membership and has improved my confidence greatly.
