I used to be quite slim and I felt that I needed to gain some extra size for sports as I was getting pushed off the ball in football too easily because I was small. I also wanted to look better and feel more confident in myself.
I joined LA fitness Tunbridge Wells to get bigger and also started taking protein to help. I loved it! I enjoyed the burn, learning new things and feeling like I had done something good for myself.
I got some good advice from the Personal Trainers about weight and muscle gain. It took 6-8 months for me to notice a big difference and it felt good to be working towards my goals, it gave me purpose and confidence. I got my weight up to 16 stone but have now decided to take it back down to 15. I feel great in myself for doing this.
My advice would be focus on form and give it time. It won’t happen overnight but if you put the hard work in, you'll see results!
