You must present your membership card to get into any LA fitness club. If you forget your card, we may need to see proof of identity. If you have lost your card, we will charge you for a replacement.
Details of this charge are available in your club.
Your membership card applies to you and you cannot loan or transfer it to another person.
Can I bring guests to the club?You may bring guests to the club. We will charge your friends a guest fee, details of which will be available at your club. Each guest must fill in the relevant forms which includes the Pre-Exercise Questionnaire, and you must stay with your guests and make sure that they comply with these terms and conditions (where this applies).
We may restrict guest admission at certain peak times. Please check before you visit the club to make an appointment to be sure we will accept your guests.
We can refuse your guest entry to the club for reasons of health and safety or if your guest does not comply with the relevant parts of the terms and conditions.
Can I bring my child to the club?Children must have an adult member with them to supervise them. You must make sure that your children only use the facilities allowed, this can be checked at reception.
We provide crèche facilities at some clubs for children. Please check with the club for availability, cost and specific crèche rules. You may not leave the club if you have children in the crèche.
Can I use my membership at a different LA fitness club?This is dependent on the type of membership you have. We offer upgraded memberships which allow you to use more than one of our clubs. For more information please speak to a member of the team at your local club.
Can I pay for my membership in full?Yes, we give the option for members to make an upfront payment for the full length of the chosen agreement. Please speak to your local club to arrange this.
How can I bring my membership payments up to date?Please call our Credit Control department on 0843 170 1010 who will be able to assist you with any payment queries; alternatively you can pay for any outstanding payments in the membership section on MYLA Memberzone.
I am a Paid In Full member, how do I renew my membership after the initial term?Please call our dedicated renewal team on 01302 892540 and an agent will be happy to assist you.
I no longer wish to continue with my membership, what do I do?All cancellations must be processed through our Member Services Department on 0844 770 7700, with a calendar months notice, once the initial term of your agreement has been fulfilled. This is in line with the terms and conditions of your agreement which you signed at the point of joining.
Within contract members cannot cancel or freeze, however, we will cancel during the agreement period as a gesture of goodwill if the following criteria is met:
- Redundancy, with letter from employer confirming this. Please note, we do not accept letters which confirm dismissal or termination of a temporary contract.
- Medical, with Doctors note confirming the member is not fit to exercise.
- Moving more than 20 miles away from an LA fitness club. Member must provide proof of relocation and pay a cancellation fee plus one calendar months membership fee; depending on the number of months left of the members agreement. All fee's will be confirmed by the Member Services team when called to arrange your membership cancellation.
Cancellation of your Direct Debit does not constitute cancellation of your membership. Please ensure you call the Member Services team on 0844 770 7700 to arrange your membership cancellation.
Is the LA fitness website secure?Yes, our site is fully secured at the point we share sensitive information about your account; you will see during the login process to Memberzone that the security certificate invokes the padlocked state in the address bar and the http:// switches to https:// ('s' identifying a secure area).
Behaviour in the club.You must wear appropriate clothes and shoes in the club. In the interest of health and hygiene, you must shower before entering the pool, whirlpool/Spa, steam or sauna areas.
