Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and member enjoyment and satisfaction is everything to us. We’re constantly striving to improve the service we offer to our members, to ensure they receive the support they need to help them achieve their health & fitness goals.
Our Member Pledge describes the service standards you can expect from us; we might not always get it right – we’re only human, but we’ll try to ensure that we deliver our service in the most efficient way and to provide the best possible value for money for our members.
Making fitness fun.
We know that exercise can sometimes seem boring and repetitive, so we’ll make every effort to keep fitness fun. We’ll continue to provide our members with an exciting, varied class timetable, the latest gym kit from Technogym®, sparkling pool facilities, Fast Classes to help you power yourself into shape in just 10 minutes, and a fun, friendly, energetic team to deliver it all to you!
We offer a free group orientation to all new members aimed at introducing them to the club and all the services and programmes that we offer. The session will be run by a qualified member of the fitness team and will include information on the equipment and its safe and effective use.
In addition, we offer a complimentary one to one personal training session to all members who opt for our MyLA Experience+ package.
From the first cheery greeting when you step into the club, answering a question about using a particular piece of equipment to offering nutritional support, our team is here to cheer you on.
And as well as being friendly and welcoming, every member of our Fitness Team has a nationally recognised fitness qualification, so you can rest assured you’re in safe hands.
The personal touch.
All of our Personal Trainers are qualified to a minimum of REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) Level 3 – a nationally recognised, and FIA (Fitness Industry Association) backed qualification for Personal Trainers. In addition, many also hold specialist qualifications across a wide spectrum of exercise and fitness related areas.
But we’re not all about the gym. Combining your gym workout with group exercise classes is a great way to keep motivated and see results faster. We’re committed to bringing you a full and varied class timetable, from Zumba to BodyPump™, Yoga to Pilates, there’s a class to suit everyone.

We’re also passionate about providing great facilities here at LA fitness and our swimming pools are no exception; from backstroke to butterfly, you can swim yourself gorgeous in our sparkling clean pools.
We’ve teamed up with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and Community Swimming Ltd to provide ASA Swim Schools at LA fitness, open to everyone. So you can feel confident that you, or your child, are being expertly taught by a fully qualified Coach following the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s a wide selection of Group Fitness Classes available in the pool to really get your heart rate going!

MY LA Memberzone is our special digital hub for members. Whether you’re looking for some fitness inspiration, reviewing your fitness programme or updating your membership details, Memberzone is the go-to place for all your fitness needs. Whether you’re at the gym or at home, we’re here to help.
LA fitness is a private members club; however, we are happy for you to bring guests to the club on occasions, in accordance with our guest policy which can be found in-club.
Member safety and the safety of our team are of the upmost importance to us. That’s why we ensure there’s always a member of our team available who is qualified to administer First Aid.
We regularly check our fire alarms, fire escapes and equipment to ensure everything is in working order and safe for member use.
We take club security very seriously and try our upmost to ensure we put the relevant security measures into place to protect your valuables; however valuables are left at the owners risk and we cannot accept any legal liability for any loss of personal belongings within our clubs.
We offer a wide range of flexible membership options to best meet our member’s needs; these range from one month to 24 month agreements and as with anything, if you commit to your health & fitness longer term, we’ll commit to you by giving you the best possible membership rate available – can’t say fairer than that!
If you choose to pay for your membership by Direct Debit we will help you stay on track with your membership goals by continuing your membership with us after your initial term until you advise us otherwise. When you decide to leave we ask you to give us one month’s notice so we can arrange termination of your Direct Debit with your bank.
Time to breathe.
We know that joining a gym can be a big decision, and sometimes you need a few days to really get a feel for the place. That’s why if you change your mind and decide you’d like to leave us within 14 days of joining, we’ll cancel your agreement with no hassle. Simply call our Member Services team on 08431 701 099 to arrange your cancellation.
Changes to your circumstances.
Of course, we understand personal circumstances can change (e.g. loss of job, pregnancy, severe financial hardship or moving away), so we’ll ensure your membership is one less headache for you to worry about. Whether it’s freezing your membership or a more permanent arrangement, we’ll work with you to find the best solution.
- All cancellations must be processed through our Contact us section on MY LA Memberzone or by calling our Member Support team on 08431 701 099.
- Members must give one calendar month's notice to cancel their agreement, once the initial term of the agreement has been fulfilled. This is in line with the terms and conditions of your agreement signed at the point of joining.
- Within contract, members cannot cancel or freeze their membership; however, we will cancel during the agreement period if one or more of the following criteria is met:
Loss of earnings
If you have lost your job due to redundancy, contract termination or are suffering severe financial hardship, you can cancel or freeze your agreement early. All we will ask is that you provide us with the appropriate independent documentation e.g. P45.
If you sustain an injury, long term illness or become pregnant, you can cancel or freeze your agreement on the acceptance of a supporting doctor's note confirming you are no longer fit to exercise.
If you’re moving away and there is no LA fitness within a reasonable distance from your new home or workplace, you can cancel or freeze your membership upon receipt of the appropriate proof of your relocation. We understand everyone’s circumstances are different, but as a rule of thumb we use 10 miles as a guide for a reasonable distance.
- If you fall into one of the above categories, upon your cancellation being accepted, all you will need to do is give one calendar month's notice.
- Please do not cancel your Direct Debit. It does not constitute cancellation of your membership, and if a request for cancellation is not received, we will pursue you for the balance of your remaining membership. Please ensure you call the Member Services team on 08431 701 099 or visit MY LA Memberzone to arrange your membership cancellation.
A fond farewell.
If you decide to leave us after your initial term, simply give us a call on 08431 701 099 and one of our friendly Member Services advisors will arrange this for you. We’ll ask you a few quick questions when you call, about your experiences with us; it helps us improve our service levels and facilities for the future.

We want all our members to leave us with a warm feeling inside, so when we send you your cancellation confirmation letter we’ll enclose 2 x 7 day guest membership passes, to allow you to come back and use your club at any time within the next 6 months – no obligation, just because we’d love to see you again!
We take the privacy of our members seriously. Upon joining we will ask you for an email address so we can contact you regarding your membership and on occasions we may use your personal information to personalise the service we provide you. You can rest assured we will never give your personal details to any third parties.
